Assetz® News - Sales of homes worth over £1m rise: "number of properties sold for over £1 million increased by more than two-fold during the past year, according to a survey.
Research by Halifax shows that an aggregate of 2,992 homes sold in Great Britain touched the seven-figure mark during the first half of 2010, giving a 118% increase from the same period last year.
The sales level increases for homes worth more than a million pounds exceeded those of the wider property sector, which saw the total number of purchases going up by 27% in the same period."
