The founder of the collapsed Von Essen Hotels Group has put his luxury townhouse in Belgravia on the market for £29.4 million, according to reports.

Andrew Davis acquired Halkin House in 2007 for £20.2 million and has now put the property up for sale, just three weeks after he was forced to hand control of Von Essen to administrators from Ernest & Young.

According to reports, bidders have expressed a lot of interest in the Von Essen collection of hotels, country hotels and castles.

The von Essen collection of luxury hotels, luxury country house hotels and luxury family hotels in England, Scotland, Wales and France, offers a variety of stunning historic properties, each of distinctive character - from the small and intimate to the grand and gracious.

Each country house hotel offers a unique luxury experience with its own individual personality, unique features and impressive location. Together, they form a collection of luxury hotels: luxury country hotels, town houses and castle hotels in England, Scotland, Wales and France in four sets: Classic, Country, Continental and Luxury Family.
