Next month a 24.78 carat pink diamond will be up for auction at Sotheby's. The impressive emerald-cut gem, which is expected to fetch £24 million, was last sold 60 years ago.
It belongs to the rare IIa classification which covers less than 2% of the world's gem diamonds.
